Sweet Lou
The main stay of Sweet Point Setters is Sweet Lou our 60 pound Blue Belton English Setter male. Lou has established himself as a superior gun dog and during the last four years he has been used extensively for professional guided hunts in Iowa and South Dakota. Lou is all business in the field, an exceptional bird finder and always hunts to cover. He has an excellent nose, is very intelligent and always gives full effort from the time he leaves the truck. With an intense desire to leave no bird behind in any field he hunts Lou has a style all his own that is always pleasing to watch. During the non-hunting season, Lou is kept in shape training and participating in NSTRA field trials and hunt tests. Lou comes from a setter line that includes two Field Trial Hall of Fame dogs, Hick’s Rising Sun and Tekoa Mountain Sunrise. In April 2013 Lou became the only English setter in Iowa to ever earn the prestigious American Kennel Club Master Hunter Title.

Adeline
Adeline is a 45 pound tri color female English Setter who was added to our family as a puppy in April of 2012. She has developed into an excellent hunting dog and has been braced with Lou in several guided hunts in Iowa and South Dakota. She is presently training for her AKC Master Hunt title which we hope to earn in the spring of 2015. Addie is out of a Ryman line of dogs and her close working methodical style is perfect for the foot hunter and guided client hunts. Addie is a beauty with her tri color markings and eye patch. She is excellent at locating downed birds and her scent tracking ability has added several roosters to the game bag that would have otherwise been lost.
